“ 10/10 review. Very quiet, food and service was phenomenal. Place was very clean. Will be returning! ”
“ One of our top three restaurants to dine-in or take out for lunch and dinner. We enjoy having a tofu option along with the usual protein choices. Meals are always fresh and delicious! ”
“ Ignore Heather's obstinate review. Since the two years of the posting of that review, the kitchen staff and front of house staff has considerably improved the dining experience. My beer was cold, the food was hot, and the chemistry of the dish was delightful. ”
“ Food is consistent and quality is good. I don't write reviews for many places but this place is good. Not the best Thai I've had but the quality and value can't be beat. The service has been great every time we visit. Food comes out hot, quick and fresh every time. The restaurant is very clean and the atmosphere is nice. ”
“ Based on the reviews, we had relatively low expectations - however we were pleasantly surprised. The Tom Ka soup was one of the best I've ever had. I also had the crispy duck which was fantastic with the house made chilli sauce. Overall everyone at the table enjoyed their meal - give this place a try if you are near Pocatello! ”
“ Gin Sen has a tempting menu that makes it difficult to pick just one entree! With gourmet ramen, soups, curry, rice, and pan fried noodles, there is something for everyone. The restaurant offers a hip and fresh ambiance uncommon to Pocatello. We had chow mein with beef and tonkotsu ramen. The portions were generous and the flavors were fantastic. The veggies in the chow mein were cooked to perfection. The tonkotsu had a rich flavor worth going back for. Our dinners were served promptly, making Gin Sen a great place to dine on a time crunch. Unfortunately, Gin Sen did fall short in a few areas. The parking is difficult. However, the restaurant did a great job of informing patrons of the consequences of parking in certain lots in the area. While service was quick, it was also awkward. Our waitress requested our order immediately after my husband returned from the restroom without giving him time to peruse the menu. And the ramen was served with large slices of pork loin. We were at a loss of how to cut it without a knife while if floated in broth (though we did have a few laughs over it!) Overall, Gin Sen was fantastic and we will be back. There are just a few corks that prevent the restaurant from reaching its full potential. ”
“ Tried this place despite their low ratings and glad I did. Inside is clean and staff are friendly. Prices are reasonable. Tried the takoyaki, gyoza and kho soi. Takoykai: the "breading" was perfectly cooked, nice and soft with a nice crisp outside. Flavors were all there. The octopus was disappointing, kinda tough. $7.50 for six. Not bad Gyoza: 6 fried gyoza for $5. Decent flavor but not really fried. Closer to steamed dumplings. Very soft... Kho soi: never had this anywhere else so this was new. It tastes like panang curry with egg noodles. They add fried shallots and crispy wonton strips. Pretty delicious! Ordered it with pork but the pork kinda stuck to each other in giant clumps. Probably previously frozen. $12. Oh also tried the thai iced tea. $3.50. Biggest thai iced tea I've ever seen! Like 20oz and made just right. Time to go jog over this energy! Not 5 stars because of the issues above. Not 3 stars because they have a vast menu selection, food was decent and out of the choices in Pocatello, it's a gem to find! ”
